5 TV Shows Kickstarter Should Also Help Fund For Film

Raise the funds, and you may just get a reunion on screen from one of your favorite television shows! That was at least the case (and reality!) for Veronica Mars fans everywhere Wednesday when Kristen Bell along with creator Rob Thomas asked fans to donate to Kickstarter to help get a movie made. Within just 24 hours, the two made their goal with over $2 million!

“I love you guys. You are all SO spectacular. I am speechless,” Bell tweeted. Later adding, “dear pope: Im sorry VM fans stole ur thunder on ur 1st day. I mean,Im not really that sorry, but i thought it would be polite 2 say so. xo.”

So, this got us thinking. What other shows would we love to raise money for in order to get a movie reunion? Some shows may have an easier time than others, but here’s 5 others we think would have an easy time scoring some cash.

1. Friday Night Lights
Tim Riggins! A film has been rumored throughout the year, but we have a feeling if fans had the opportunity to put money in the process would be going a lot quicker.

2. One Tree Hill
Give it just 12 hours. We dare you.

3. The O.C.
Who wouldn’t to see Seth Cohen on the big screen? Not to mention, those Sandy Cohen eyebrows.

4. Dawson’s Creek
Joey may have chosen Pacey, but even creator Kevin Williamson thought of an idea after seeing theVeronica Mars success. “I’m a little too excited about a Veronica Mars movie. That show is on my all time fave list. Dawson, Joey, and Pacey go to Veronica, “Jen didn’t die of a heart thingy, we believe she was murdered. Please help,” he tweeted. “Pitch tweak:  “Jen faked her death and is really alive. Please find her. We can’t kickstart without her.”

5. Freaks and Geeks
It would be hilarious just to se Seth Rogen, Busy Phillips, Jason Segel, and James Franco reprising their roles again.
